Are You A "Doer" Or A "Judge"?Bro. David Chancellor

James 4:11, 12
"Speak evil of no man." There may be evil people, but that does not mean we need to speak evil of another. Sometimes we don't consider the full effect of our actions. If we speak evil of others, it is speaking evil of God. If you speak evil of others, it is judging. There is just one that can really make a difference with the judgment passed. We want to have this lawgiver. Are you a "doer" or a "judge"? If you are a "judge," you are a spectator. You need to get out and start running. God didn't call us to set on the sidelines and judge. He called us to get in the race. It also deals with our experience. You can have an intellectual experience and be a judge, but it takes a heart experience to be a doer. We want this to be a life we live. There needs to be a heart experience.
It is a sad thing when people claim to be the people of the Lord in a condition of defeat. We want people to see God as "high and lifted up" and for him to be glorified. As we go forth, if we tell people that we are one of God's people, we need to be certain they can see God in us. God has pity for his holy name. He wants the world to see him as he is. God knew there was more needed than them being back in the land. They needed his Spirit within. It is not enough to have the judgments, but to keep and do them. When a person has God's Spirit within, it doesn't make him feel like he has always been that way. We can recall how it was before God made the change. We need to look at others and see what GOD can do. God showed mercy on us. We need to bring honor to God's name, not ours. God can make a difference for others, just as he has with us.
He is speaking of the same spirit that Ezekiel was. The love of God in our heart makes us a doer not a judge. "Shed abroad..." all over and at work in our heart.
The law is written in our heart when the love of God is there. "Love worketh no ill to his neighbor." It's more than it being said, but we can do it (the law) because of the love of God. The love of God can leave judgment in God's hands. Knowledge is not a bad thing, but we also need the Spirit of God in the heart at work. When God's Spirit comes in our heart, it makes things different.
1 John 2:26-29
John was concerned that these not be led astray into something that was not of God. We don't want to be taken aside from what God would have us to be. We don't want to give up what God has given us. If you have found God, stay with what you have found. Keep doing what God has helped us to know to do. Stick with the Spirit of God. He can help you to treat others right. "Everyone that DOETH righteousness is born of God." Doing it is more important than a claim of understanding it.
