Above ReproachBro. David Chancellor

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life: that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
It’s important what kind of life we live if we would be a blessing to God’s cause. Live it whether anyone is watching or not. We need to be a people above reproach as we lift up God. People are watching and are forming opinions based on what you do.
1 Timothy 5:3-7
Honour widows that are widows indeed. But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents; for that is good and acceptable before God. Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
If we would be blameless, we need to focus on worshipping God. We should trust in God and have a prayer life that draws us closer to God. A blameless life isn’t lived to please self. The enjoyable life is one that experiences a sense of accomplishment from benefitting others. What people focus on shows where their hearts are. Those that focus on God enjoy the things of God. People need to see a consistently blameless life.
2 Peter 3:11-14
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
God wants his church to be without spot and blameless. Christ is coming back and the world will end at some point. While we try to take care of things, we aren’t trying to preserve it forever. There is an end out there. The things people give themselves to will be dissolved. What many people give their lives to has no value in light of eternity. It isn’t lasting. There are things we can do that will last in eternity. Helping someone find salvation is lasting. Live without spot and blameless and then you don’t have to worry about when your end will come. A life lived for self is wasted. To end life right, you have to live it right. Make your life clean so that your life can have meaning and purpose. Live so that you can accomplish God’s purpose. It takes a blameless life to be used of God. Make use of what God has given to you. Be ready for Jesus’ return; live as he would have you to live.
