John the Baptist proclaimed before Christ... he prepared the way. "And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace." (speaking here of Christ) We can "get a [real] life" in Jesus. What Christ provided was for whosoever will. The New Testament time is better because we can have a personal knowledge of God. Until the grace of God moves on our life we are all sinners.
Christ laid in the grave, but he arose. We can enjoy God's presence here, and look forward to eternity.
If you've received Christ take him with you... don't walk on without him. Religion is not the same as a personal walk with God. The fullness is in Christ.
What Christ has done allows us to have the fullness of the presence of God. He's there to help us. God still cares about the needs of his people.
We don't want to settle for that which only partially meets the need. We want to declare the fullness of Christ. We enjoy the fullness of God's blessing and we should share that with others. God is our stabilizer. He can bring us through all of life's difficulties.
When people make a start for God our desire should be that they would grow and increase in God. Christ is very important both now and in the world to come. We ought to be able to see his working in his church, his people.
He prayed this for them... that they might be filled with all the fullness of God, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man, that Christ would dwell within. WE can know God for us.
