The way to have success.Bro. David Chancellor

We would like to have success. Our success in life is found when we focus our attention on what God has to say and when we apply it to our life. The word is for application in our life. It is more than great literature or philosophy. It is good to memorize scripture, but being able to quote it isn't enough. We need "to do according to all that is written therein..." Success is found as we keep our focus on God and his word.
1 Peter 5:6, 7
Success requires humility and a trust and submission to God. We won't succeed by going our own way. Until we humble ourselves before God we won't succeed. We must put our confidence in God. Without God we can do nothing. Without God we won't prosper in our efforts. We need to count on God. He is the one that we need to lean on. Cast your cares on God. Seek God's help in all you do. Our ability will only be good if turned over to God. It takes God if we would accomplish his work. When God has the freedom to work as he would choose, he will work for your success. Many times we are our own biggest hindrance.
Colossians 3:23, 24
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily..." Sometimes people "do," but don't "do it heartily." They only do it because they have to. It is their "duty" or "obligation". Put all your energy and enthusiasm and interest into what you do. How can we do all things this way? By doing it for God, and not for the praise of others. If we have God's approval, it should encourage us to do more for God. "If you want to know if others are noticing, just mess up." We should be concerned that we don't mess up where the work of God is concerned. People notice, whether we think they do or not. Expend your energy to do your work "as unto the Lord." We are endeavoring to serve God. If we believe God and seek him, then he will reward us. God is a rewarder. He will bless us for our efforts. If you want to succeed, do all things heartily, as unto the Lord.
"Let not then your good be evil spoken of." We should have a real concern how we reflect on the message of Christ. We don't want our actions to cause others to speak bad of the way that is right. We all know of times when we would have liked the situation to be handled differently. Take care to your actions. We can't change situations and others actions, but we can be careful that our actions reflect good on God. What are we doing? Often we can see others errors and not our own. If we aren't careful we will destroy what we are trying to build. Our actions should not be such as to hinder the work we are trying to do. Be careful in the things you say. Offer something that will be a help. Sometimes the things religion teaches people stand in the way of people getting help. We need to be careful what ideas we present. The spiritual things are "righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost." We need to be sure that things in our life are acceptable to God. Being acceptable to God is most important. The one with the fruits of the spirit will be acceptable to humanity as well. Not too many object to love and joy and peace. If the fruits of the spirit are well manifested, it will draw people to God. The world has a respect and appreciation for it, although they don't agree with you or with doctrine. Our actions should bring a good reflection on God's cause. It should make his way attractive for others. We need to be ambassadors for Christ. We need to be a good representative; to cause others to want to be a part of God's kingdom. God wants us to be a success for him.
