Gods plan for mankind

1 Timothy 2:1-6

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Paul encouraged them to pray and seek God that their lives would be quiet and peaceable. We shouldnt want anything in our lives what would hinder others from being saved. God would have all men to be saved. It is the will of God that all men would come to the knowledge of the truth. He would have all men come to the mediator, that they could be saved. Salvation is a universal plan. Its for all men. God included everyone in his plan of salvation. Its for everyone. Race and heritage are not an issue. Gods plan is for all men to be saved through Christ. Predestination is not Gods plan, but he does desire that everyone would know him.

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

God has unmerited favor for every man. All men do not know it. This is why we declare the grace of God; so people can know. When we think of what God has done for our salvation, it makes no sense to continue on in sin. God made a statement about sin when his Son died. He wants sin to stop in our lives; he paid a great price so that it can stop. Jesus denied himself, so that Gods will could be done. We should deny ourselves for the same reason. God loved us enough to provide what was needed to reconcile us to himself. He would have us to be a people that want to do good and right. God would do this for everyone.

Colossians 1:19-23

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Paul was again speaking the message of Christ. The blood of Christ when he died on the cross makes peace on earth. Man can be delivered from sin and made to be at peace with God. This will also bring peace with our fellowman. Youre included in this all things. Weve been reconciled to Christ and to God through Christs death. We can stand before God holy and unblameable, and unreproveable in his sight. There doesnt have to be anything between God and us. We dont have to let the sin of the past that has been covered by the blood, come between God and us. We can be zealous of good works instead of bad ones. This plan is for all men; that they can be saved and reconciled to God.

Hebrews 10:26-31

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The coming of Christ was for our salvation. He died that all might be saved. This message brings a great responsibility. Gods done everything he can for our salvation. Its now up to us. Its our choice to make. Since Christ died for all mankind, if you die unsaved, what have you done, but step on the blood of Christ and despise it? The price has been paid for all. If we reject Christ, were worthy of eternal punishment. Christs message was one of deliverance, and of responsibility. There is a price to pay if we refuse Christ. Those that refuse, because God is just, must be punished. Its evil to refuse the work of God in your soul. Be swift my soul to answer Theres a great responsibility that comes with not answering God. Your purification has already been provided for when Christ died on the cross. Rejecting Moses law carried a stiff penalty, but how much greater a penalty if we reject God? Every child of God desires to do what is right. This is what God would have in every man. God has handed you a choice. You will be making a choice. The choice is to choose either to be reconciled to God or not to be reconciled. Rejecting the Son of God is a serious matter. Its not the sins, but that we refused deliverance that will face us in eternity. What is more important, the sins you love, or God? There is something more serious than death. Fear the one that can destroy body and soul in hell. Well be judged if we reject the only one that can save our souls. If the blood doesnt wash your soul, you have it on your hands. Youre guilty of his death. Theres a great responsibility in this choice. Take it seriously. Put your trust in God and in the blood of Jesus. This love of God in the heart will produce good works. Live soberly. Life is preparation for eternity. Be pleasing to God now. This is for everyone. No one is excluded. God has made all men responsible. We must choose. To refuse him guarantees that well be punished. Its a serious choice, an important matter, and its up to us to decide what we are going to do about Jesus.
