Your Walk of Faith and Your Fight of FaithBro. David Chancellor

The way we walk will determine how we fight. If faith would meet your needs it needs to be a living, working, active faith. Faith should produce works. You aren't working your way to heaven. God's plan of salvation is unique. The plan of salvation is what makes the church what it is. While our salvation is not of works (we aren't trying to win the approval of God), our faith should produce works. If you will allow the Spirit of God to work in your life, it will build your faith. The way we live and what we believe go together.
"...but the just shall live by his faith..." This is a very personal statement. Faith needs to become personal; a part of us. Our lives should reflect our beliefs. It isn't merely intellectual. The real point of interest is being able to implement it in our lives. Our beliefs aren't living beliefs until they become a part of our daily lives. Our assurance is when we live out what we believe. Take steps in the direction of your faith and your faith will be much stronger. Whatever our faith is, our walk with God will help us to take hold of what God has for us.
1 John 2:3-11
We know where we stand with God if we keep his commandments. You can know if you know God. John was confident in some things. He found this confidence by walking with Jesus. You can't have faith without walking with God. IF people don't keep his commandments, they don't know him. Faith and obedience are tied together. We should desire to walk just like Jesus. Jesus came that we could have the same manifestation of the Spirit of God that he had. The commandment wasn't complicated. It was just "love your brother." Have faith in God and in his purpose for you.
2 Timothy 1:8-12
The world would like to make you ashamed of Jesus. We don't want to be ashamed of what he has said or done. God has a purpose for every life. We want his purpose worked out through us. Our relationship to God should be personal. Paul was persuaded that Christ was able to keep that which he had committed to him. Commit yourself to God. Put yourself in his hands. Live your life completely as God would have it lived. The reality of what God can do won't be known until you have the works of faith in your life.
1 Peter 4:19
You would think that since you are following God, everyone would like you. Sometimes, though, the world will hate you. If you have faith, and no one else can tell it, there is a problem. People should be able to see God in you, even if you don't say anything. Be ready to give a reason, to answer if people ask. Our faith should be a living thing to us. It should determine the course of our lives. You can win the fight of faith if you live by faith. Walk close to God to build your faith. Put to work the things God opens to you. It will build you up in your faith toward God. We want a living faith. Our lives can be built on a foundation of faith. Live in obedience to what God shows us. Put it in your life and see it work.
