Magnify the LordBro. David Chancellor

"I will bless the Lord at all times and his praise shall continually be in my mouth." Sometimes this is easier to do than at other times. We should always have praise for what God has done. Talk of God, praise his name, boast about what God has done for you. Magnify the Lord. We've come together to exalt his name. We come to lift him up. Christ is what makes the difference and people need Him. "I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from ALL my fears." ... "This poor man cried, and the Lord heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles." God can save you from all your troubles. Some people deliver a negative message - that God can't save you from the power of sin. God made a difference - he has changed our life. We have the presence of God with us to deliver us. It's the presence that is there to help us do right. Losing life isn't the worst thing that can happen if we are right with God. "Taste and see that the Lord is good..." The Lord is not just something we're working to get people "hooked" on, but it is REALLY good!! You don't miss out on the truly good things, but on things that are hurtful to us. The animals might go hungry, but God looks after his people better than that. Who doesn't want a good long life that sees good things? Here's the answer if you want that: "Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace and pursue it." God will provide his people good things (v. 15).
God is not restricted to time as we are. "Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood." He washed us, cleansed us and made something of us. It's wonderful to be a king and priest, but we want to be telling others of the one who can make ANYONE a king and priest unto God.
1 John 4:10, 11
"Herein is love, not that we loved God..." We sing "Oh How I love Jesus" as our heart song to God, but there's a greater song that shows love.. "Jesus Loves ME!!" The more wonderful thing is that he loved me!! and he gave himself for us. This is how we'll magnify the Lord - to tell of his love. We should have love toward God, but that's just natural because of the greater love he showed. The great thing is when we were unlovable. He loved us. Lift up His love and let His love flow through us to others.
1 Peter 1:7-9
Pointing out the trial of our faith... We should have praise, honor and glory for Jesus in the trial. We should honor him because he brings us through. We've not seen Jesus as the disciples saw him, but that doesn't mean we don't know him. We can love and trust him, and rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory because we have found full salvation in our souls. The greater thing was deliverance from sin. The loaves and fishes can't compare to a clear conscience, that conscience void of offense before God and man.
